They say a good man is built out of mud.

move. To become foreign. A man must first be
foreign; foreign to the land, his lover,
his hands....
A man must be made of art. Of renaissance. Of action. Of the hushed hunched whispers that inspired Jesus.
Of the downfall of Icarus and the burning–The Exodus–of Alexandria.
Of the patronage of Athena.
Of the maggots lapping for light and for wings.
A man must first be made of mud.
